God worked through our wonderful pastor to show me this verse in Psalm 112:7.
"He shall not be afraid of evil tidings; his heart is fixed, trusting in the Lord."
The "evil tidings" here are fears of possible bad news, like the "what ifs" with which I was struggling. Our pastor reminded me that even if my very worst fears came true, God would not be caught by surprise. He would not be powerless. Instead, He would be upholding me, loving me, enabling me. So, instead of "what-ifing" I made the conscious choice (over and over!) to fix my heart on Him. And, oh, what a difference! I cannot count the number of times I recited this verse throughout my pregnancy and delivery. And, our God is so faithful! I marvel daily at His grace in giving us our Lydia Grace!
I have been praying for you throughout your pregnancy - I keenly remember the great fatigue I dealt with last year. May you feel God's arms around you today, and be overwhelmed by His presence and strength during your little one's upcoming delivery!

Judy (Weaver) JohnsonJudynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8553685226649531259.post-22839185826624453162011-03-04T07:50:21.324-05:002011-03-04T07:50:21.324-05:00Hi September, this verse has been an encouragement...Hi September, this verse has been an encouragement to me so I will share with you ~
Zephaniah 3:17 The LORD your God is in your midst, the Mighty One who will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.Carrienoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8553685226649531259.post-47518990809894844072011-03-03T23:36:11.089-05:002011-03-03T23:36:11.089-05:00What a beautiful idea!
